I too own a Savage and a Magna. Talk about
apples and oranges -- I bought the Magna because
the Savage doesn't seem quite up to the freeways
around here. I have a new job with a major freeway
commute, and she seemed out of her league. Still she was brilliant for everything else,
and I rode her almost exclusively last season.
I just bought the Magna two weeks ago. It munches up
the freeway for breakfast and begs for dessert. It
makes more sense when everything is going 75+.
Still, I'm tempted to keep both... Right now the
Savage is consigned at my local Honda dealer,
but he'd give it back... Reminds me of back in
'79 when I owned both a Norton and a Honda 450, except
both of these bikes are more reliable than those.
Sorry, I haven't been too active on the net
lately, what with Suzi being in storage for the
winter and
being unemployed, then getting a new job where
they expect me to work MUCH harder because of
the economy and all... it is all about supply
and demand, isn't it. My last posting was
mid November, when I stored Suzi. Now that I've
ridden the Magna around a bit, I should take Suzi
out for a spin and see what develops...
